Professional bio
Amanda was born and raised in Birkenhead and is the eldest daughter of a tradesman. A first-generation graduate with a love of legal dramas and acting from an early age, she initially qualified as a solicitor before transferring to the Bar in 1995. Amanda has built a thriving family law practice, combining her career with raising two sons. She is known for her organised, thorough approach and her commitment to guiding clients through the complexities of family law with clarity, sensitivity and common sense.

Amanda began her legal career in 1989 as a trainee at a niche commercial firm in Manchester before moving to Pannone & Partners in their commercial litigation department. Inspired by her exposure to advocacy, she transferred to the Bar in 1995, joining Derby Square Chambers in Liverpool. Following a move to Leeds in 2000 to join 37 Park Square, Amanda focused on family law while raising her own family. She returned to Liverpool in 2003, joining Atlantic Chambers, where she has remained ever since.
Amanda now leads a thriving practice group in chambers, supporting its growth and development. Outside of work, she volunteers as a Trainee Guard on the Talyllyn Railway with her youngest son, bringing enthusiasm and conviviality to her role.
