Pupillage
OVERVIEW
Hundred Court Chambers is delighted to welcome applications for pupillage in accordance with the timetable set out below.
We have now received confirmation of our 'Authorised Education and Training Organisation' (AETO) status from the Bar Standards Board and due to the delay in processing our application we have also received a waiver from the usual pupillage advertising and recruitment requirements for this year. Accordingly, we can now formally accept applications for the following pupillages:
- One Civil pupillage to start in October 2026, and another Civil pupillage to start in October 2027
- One Family pupillage to start in October 2026, and another Family pupillage to start in October 2027
- One Business and Property pupillage to start in October 2027
Hundred Court Chambers only take pupils with a view to offering tenancy and we strive to ensure that every pupillage provides solid foundations for those interested in building a long and successful career at the Bar. We intend to recruit exceptional candidates keen to join a friendly, supportive and ambitious chambers.
We offer pupillage funding of £50,000, made up of £5,000 up front at the start of pupillage, £15,000 during the first six months, and guaranteed earnings of £30,000 during the second six months.

For the avoidance of doubt, any previous expressions of interest sent to the above address containing a covering letter and CV will also be considered.
In the interests of transparency, we intend to shortlist the candidates for interview on the following dates:
- Civil interviews - Saturday 21st March 2026
- Family interviews - Saturday 28th March 2026
- Business and Property interviews - Saturday 18th April 2026
Please keep the relevant date available to allow us to interview all the candidates on the same day if possible (although we will consider alternative dates in exceptional circumstances). If necessary, any second round interviews will be carried out on Saturday 25th April 2026 although we usually reach a unanimous decision after the first round.
