Mediation

OVERVIEW

Hundred Court Chambers offers a specialist mediation service via a dedicated team of qualified and accredited professional mediators.

Mediation is a completely voluntary and confidential form of alternative dispute resolution (ADR), in which an independent and impartial mediator enables two or more parties to achieve a resolution acceptable to all involved. This process can avoid the need for court proceedings, usually resulting in a much quicker and more cost-effective outcome, whilst still allowing parties to be heard and to play an active role in a less adversarial setting. Often, extra-judicial remedies—such as apologies or confirmation of “lessons learned”—can be achieved via mediation, which cannot be ordered by a judge within formal court proceedings.

Remote mediation is also available, offering an efficient alternative to in-person sessions, which may not always be practical. These can be conducted via Zoom (or your preferred platform), by telephone, or through a hybrid of such methods.

Our qualified mediators can assist in many areas, including:

  • All Civil and Commercial matters
  • Personal Injury
  • Clinical Negligence – NHS & Private
  • Professional Negligence
  • Community & Neighbour Disputes
  • Trusts, Wills & Probate
  • Property
  • Landlord and Tenant
  • Education
  • Workplace
  • Family

The terms of our mediation services can be found in our Mediation Agreement.
