Professional bio
Jac joined Chambers following a Chancery and Commercial (Business and Property) pupillage. He read Jurisprudence at the University of Oxford before completing a Master’s in Research Methods and Quantitative Analysis, and later a PhD in Law. Prior to pupillage, he was a Senior Lecturer at the University of Chester Law School, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, presenting at national and international conferences, and serving as a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. He has delivered seminars for the Liverpool Law Society and Chambers on topics including the Insolvency Rules 2016, Commercial Tenancy Break Clauses, Injunctions, and Inheritance Act claims.
Jac was appointed to the Attorney General’s Civil Panel Counsel Junior Scheme (2016) and is currently on the Welsh Government Junior Barrister Public Law Scheme. He accepts instructions across all areas of Chancery and Commercial work—including insolvency, property, wills, probate, trusts, and Court of Protection matters—and has appeared in the County Court, High Court, and specialist tribunals. Experienced in electronic working and remote advocacy, he is well placed to assist solicitors in preparing for and conducting remote hearings. He is qualified to accept instructions directly from clients under the Direct Access scheme.
