Julie has over 25 years’ experience specialising all aspects of family law, from advising and representation in financial remedy applications for financial relief under the Matrimonial Causes Act. These include applications for transfer/sale of property; claims for spousal maintenance; claims in relation to pensions and business assets. With confidence and competence, Julie can tackle all levels of cases, from low to high value matters, where assets may include, farming assets/land; trusts; offshore assets; business/companies and pensions.Claims for financial support for children, such as transfer of property, maintenance, lump sums under Schedule 1 Children Act; complex applications under the Matrimonial Family and Family Proceedings Act, in particular where there has been a foreign divorce and there are assets/pensions in the United Kingdom.Julie also appears frequently on behalf of parties in claims made under the Children Act for contact Orders, Live With Orders, Prohibited Steps Order and Specific issues Order such as relocation, education, health.Pubic law proceedings, where the local authority has issued an application for a Care or Supervision Order. Julie has a wealth of experience representing, parents, the Guardian and Local Authorities.Julie has a wealth of experience in advising and representation in the Court of Protection, to include an individual being subject to a depravation of liberty; disputes in relation to care; residence, medical treatment; contact issues. Other Court of Protection work relating to financial disputes, revocation and validity of Lasting Power of Attorney’s. Julie undertakes a lot of work on behalf of Local Authorities, Solicitors, IMACS, Official Solicitor and Public Guardian.Julie gives 100% to every matter she deals with, leaving out no attention to detail. Julie is a very confident, and when required, robust advocate, always striving to achieve the best possible outcomes.
