Jac Armstrong appears before the Upper Tribunal in landmark post-Brexit trade remedies appeal

Liugong Machinery (UK) Ltd v Trade Remedies Authority (UT-2026-000007), Upper Tribunal (Tax and Chancery Chamber)
Jac Armstrong, instructed by Layla Barke-Jones of Aaron & Partners, appeared unled before the Upper Tribunal (Tax and Chancery Chamber) in the first appeal of its kind concerning the anti-dumping legislation introduced following Brexit.
The appeal centred on the correct interpretation of the legal test for “like goods”, and on the Trade Remedies Authority’s obligations to consider documents submitted by interested parties.
The parties await the written judgment of Mr Justice Richards, Chairman of the Competition Appeal Tribunal.
